Charlene Philips earned a B.S. in technology from the University of Houston and has been a professional serving in the field of skin care and skin rejuvenation as a certified medical aesthetician for more than 20 years. Because her standards are high, in 2005 she received her R.N., and in 2011 added B.S.N to her credentials and is currently earning her Masters in Nursing.

“Much of what we learned was not available 10 years ago so having trained in this era the patients will surely benefit. Having access to MD Anderson, Texas Children’s Hospital, and the Texas Medical Center I have been able to absorb a vigorous curriculum, from working in the emergency room to reconstruction and ultimately cosmetic surgery.” Dr. Roth trained in both arenas—reconstruction and aesthetics and performs a wide spectrum of procedures on an even broader demographic. He is adept at treating cancer, burns, trauma and cosmetic concerns from children to middle age and older populations. “Every patient is different, and even the same procedure will be different depending upon the patient.”

Dr. Roth feels the principles he uses in reconstruction have made him a better cosmetic surgeon. “There is a challenging anatomical expertise expected from a reconstructive surgeon. When you pair the knowledge of the structure and subtleties of the human form with an eye for aesthetics you have the best of both realms.” Although reconstruction and cosmetic surgery are sometimes discussed separately from one another, Dr. Roth does not make the same distinction. “Every reconstruction should be viewed with an eye toward aesthetics and every aesthetic surgery is improved by using the anatomical expertise of reconstructive training.”

Alison Zollars Arthur has been a licensed and practicing Aesthetician since 1984, with a background of more than 15 years in medical offices, working closely with physicians and performing laser and clinical skin services. Her background ranges from spa facials and massage to clinical skin rejuvenation, including peels, blading and the use of laser treatments for skin renewal and health. More recently, her lifelong focus on nutrition and wellness has also impacted her practice, as she is pursuing education in holistic nutrition counseling to further benefit her clients. This versatile approach to all the concerns of aging and wellness affirms her dedication to the rejuvenation process, both inward and outward.

Yolanda Perla, C.P.E.(Certified Professional Electrologist), has operated a successful electrolysis private practice for the past 18 years, received her electrolysis training apprenticeship in 1993 from Berkowhiz School of Electrolysis Institute. Her Professional memberships include the Texas Association of Professional Electrologists, Texas Association of Hair Removal Specialists (TAHRS) and The American Electrology Association.
